Deer Valley Excites and Delights in Many Ways
One last hurrah on our Ski Utah après ski overindulgence trip and we were spending it at Deer Valley. There's just something special about Deer Valley, that I can't seem to put my finger on. I'd say it has a country club feel to it, and it does to a degree, but there is certainly not the snobbery there that can come with a country club. It's more that the place just makes you feel like your part of the family. A feeling that is only aided by the fact that they have the highest employee return rate out of...
Spring Ski and Après Ski: A Trip of Overindulgence Part 2
Part 2: Park City Mountain Resort Park City Mountain Resort is big...really big. I mean, duh, it is the largest ski resort in the United States thanks to Vail Resorts acquisition of the original Park City Resort which they connected with the former Canyons Mountain via the Quicksilver Gondola. This gave them 7300 acres of ski-able terrain and something you probably should trying skiing all in one day. However, when you're on a tour of the resort, you can damn sure try. Although we fell short by quite a bit we did manage to ski from The Canyons Village side...
Spring Ski and Après Ski: A Trip of Overindulgence
Part 1: Snowbasin Resort When Ski Utah invites you on a trip with the title, The Après Ski Overindulge Trip, you just don't pass that one up. Especially when the name of your company is All About Après and you are a self described drinker with a skiing problem. This trip seemed tailor made to my skill set so it was an easy decision to jump all over it when the opportunity came my way. As the trip began, it became abundantly clear that overindulgence might have been the understatement of the ski season. Especially since Utah has so much more...
Spring Skiing Over President's Day Weekend ...Who Knew?
I wish I had checked to weather prior to last weekend. As someone who is constantly looking at my On the Snow app the week prior to any ski trip, not knowing that it was going to be in the 50's on Saturday while skiing is a fail of epic proportions. Not really sure what happened there, but needless to say, I was unprepared. Spring skiing over President's Weekend...who knew? Last year at this time it was anywhere between negative 8 and negative 20 at the mountain and we were taking frequent breaks just to prevent frostbite. The stark change in...
