Skiing in Utah often conjures of visions of floating through powder in the Cottonwoods or après ski in one of the many bars on Main Street in Park City. We often forget that there is great skiing in the southern part of the Beehive State as well. For a long time, Brian Head Resort has been Southern Utah's beloved winter destination. This season Brian Head turns 60 when they kick off the season on Friday, November 8th. To commemorate this milestone, the resort has unveiled a series of exciting enhancements, including new trails, gladed terrain, on-mountain festivities and even $19 lift tickets.
New Trails and Improved Terrain
The 2024-25 season will feature three brand-new trails that cater to skiers and snowboarders of all levels. These additions are the result of careful tree glading, ensuring a healthy forest while providing thrilling new experiences for guests. Families can look forward to a fun-filled adventure on the newly gladed tree run, nestled between the Navajo and Maryland Parkway trails on Navajo Mountain. Overall, these new additions will bring the trail total to 74 and ensure plenty of options for visitors to choose from.

Over 2,400 feet of snowmaking line has been replaced, guaranteeing even more reliable snow coverage. Additionally, the resort has upgraded its lighting system with energy-efficient LED poles, improving visibility for night skiing.
For added convenience, new ramps have been installed at the base and top of the Giant Steps Express and Navajo Express lifts, as well as at the base of the Wildflower and Alpen Glow lifts. These ramps will make loading and unloading lifts easier for skiers and snowboarders of all ages. Furthermore, the ski patrol building at the top of the Giant Steps Express lift has undergone a complete refurbishment.
