I have always loved the après-ski scene at Stratton Mountain. Don't get me wrong, no matter what mountain I am at, I'll find a good time. It doesn't take much, just good friends at a bar with beers and nachos and I am a happy man. But, with the village located right at the base, and everything in walking distance, Stratton offers a little something for everyone. Whether it is enjoying beers on the deck at Grizzly's with a view of the mountain (by the way their nachos are insanely good), grabbing a Gansett Tall boy and playing pool at the Green Door Pub or drinking a delicious craft cocktail to accompany the AMAZING Ahi Tuna Nachos at The Firetower Restaurant and Tavern, you just simply cannot go wrong. Stratton really is the place to be when it comes to après-ski and to compliment their already incredible scene, they will be adding two new and fun post pow dining options to their already established lineup.
Stratton BaseCamp

Stratton BaseCamp made its debut this summer and is poised to be their newest après-ski hot spot come ski season. Housed in a re-purposed shipping container and located right near the gondola, it is ideal for grabbing a quick snack before taking some laps. When the day ends, climb to the top of BaseCamp and pull up a chair in their open air seating area. There you can enjoy a Vermont craft beer or four as well as Polish inspired street food and, of course, waffles.
Stratton Snowcat Dinners

I've always loved the Mid-Mountain Lodge as a place for bloodies around 11 when you need a break from the cold. Thanks Mid-Mountain Rob for keeping me going all these years. Now, Stratton's new Snowcat Dinners give me just one more excuse to visit the MML. Climb into one of their snowcats and scale up the slopes to the Mid-Mountain Lodge for a delicious three course meal made with locally sourced ingredients and paired with some of Vermont's finest craft beers and spirits.
