Thankful and Missing You All This Thanksgiving

Let's be real, 2020 has been nothing less than a shit show. I'm not going to rattle off all that has gone on, you know already. You've lived through it all right alongside me. The pandemic has made so many of the things that we take for granted quite a challenge. Not the least of which is spending time with others. Lucky us (insert sarcasm), Covid cases are spiking again just in time for the approaching holidays. Looks like the pattern of not being able to associate with your closest friends and family will more than likely continue into the new year and ski season.

All About Apres Ski Team

Not Knowing What You Have Until It's Taken Away

Sometimes you don't realize how important something is until it has been taken away. It's times like these that make me realize how thankful I am for those who are near (6 feet or more away) and dear to me. Not only those I know and love but also the many great people that I meet throughout the year as a result of what I do at All About Après.

Thankful for the People Who Make Après Ski Special

Villagio Ellicottville, NY

The true joy of après ski are the people. Sure, there are great beers and yummy food too but they are merely the vehicle that drives the experiences we share with each other. It's the people that make the experience and sadly that has been taken away from us for the "foreskiable" future.

I created All About Après because of my love of being together with others and exploring all of the great instruments that make those times together epic. 2020 has made this quite a challenge. I miss my family and friends. I miss meeting new people on the lifts and at the bars. I miss hearing everyone's stories at après ski. Those moments are special and they will return but for now I want to say thank you. Thank you to all who have made All About Après special. Whether you're family, great friends or the guy who shared a brunch Pabst Blue Ribbon with me on the lift at 10 am, you're the best! I look forward to doing it all again soon. Until then, enjoy those PBRs from a socially appropriate distance.

Please let us know how you and yours are celebrating the importance of friends and family this year. We always enjoy hearing about the best games, food and of course the drinks. Come back to share your Covid Thanksgiving experience by commenting on our Apres Ski Blog. Whether you’re prepping your outfit from the waist up for a family Zoom call or are looking to impress in person, check out our Just Chillin’ Tee that is sure to spark fun conversation.

Happy Thanksgiving!
