If you've read my blog, you know that skiing is social sport. It's about being out on the slopes with friends and/or family and then sharing those experiences at après ski. That's why the French coined the phrase all those years ago. Après skis about raising a glass and toasting a day of endless turns while recounting those very runs with the group that you are rolling with. That's why there is a bar located on or near every mountain ready to serve up frosty beverages to help you remember every last detail from the day. Last week we gave you the very first All About Après Top 10 Après ski Bars in the East list, but there is the entire other half of our country that we can't forget about. With that in mind, here's where you need to go post pow when traveling out west.

Molly Green's: Brighton:  An après ski bar with a famous moose equals instant All About Après cred. Enjoy stellar mountain views at this A-frame bar while you warm up in front of the fireplace, sip some brews and chow on their renowned nachos (my après ski appetizer of choice).

Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro, Aspen: Photo Credit - Lindsy Fortier

An Aspen mainstay, Cloud Nine is classic après ski rooted in European style. Order up European favorites, fondue and raclette while you pop the top off your champagne bottle. Then, dance the night away at one of their ski boot dance parties.

Le Chamois, Squaw Valley: It is hard to overlook Squaw Valley's finest, Le Chamois. Take in all of Squaw's history at the Chammy while you swap stories on the lawn, the roof or where ever at THE place to be seen.

Trap Bar, Grand Targhee: Grand Targhee is like Jackson Hole's hot little sister that deserves your attention and if you are pay her a visit than the Trap Bar is a must. Ton's of TV's guarantee you won't miss any action while you sip one (or all) of their 14 beers and eat their famous Wydaho nachos.

Peruvian Bar, Alta:

This Alta locals bar, lovingly known at P-Dog is one of the liveliest après ski bars in all of Utah. Perhaps its the free popcorn, $4 beers and live music that's makes this such a hopping après ski bar but, I'm going with the fact that they have a shotski as my #1 reason why.

Lone Peak Brewery, Big Sky: I love breweries, especially ones in ski towns. This family owned microbrewery is serving up their very own of beers brewed on premises and a pretty hopping après ski locations in Montana.

T-Bar, Breckenridge: The T-Bar is the place to be if you're at Breckenridge. Grab one of their many rotating beers and delicious small plates of food then take in your après ski on the patio at this famous location.

Grumpy´s, Sun Valley: It is really hard not to like a place with the tagline, ¨Sorry, We´re Open¨ especially in a swanky place like Sun Valley. I am, very much, a burger and beer kind of guy and that's what Grumpy's specializes in. They even serve their beers in quart sized glasses called, ¨schooners.¨

Owl Bar, Sundance Mountain Resort: I'm a sucker for history and this place has it. The 1890's bar which was frequented by Butch Cassidy's gang was restored an moved from Wyoming to the Owl Bar, where it sits today. It also stirs up some creative cocktails to go along with its delicious food and live music.

The Lodge, Mount Bachelor: Bend has the most breweries per capita of any town in Oregon and it's the home of Mount Bachelor so it only seems fitting to include Cascade Lakes Brewing Company's - The Lodge on this list. The lodge is a hugely popular apres ski bar with some great beers. It's affordable too, hit it up during happy hour Monday-Thursday their delicious apps are only $3.
