With the ski season just beginning at resorts around the country and Covid raging on, how the ski industry will be affected remains a mystery. All forecasts point to a winter of limitations. Long distance travel will most certainly decline in favor of local more drivable close-to-home adventures. Once there, skiers and snowboarders will find that limited lodge amenities and reduced crowding are the new norm.
In an effort to maintain social distancing and reduce lodge traffic, ski resorts are encouraging visitors to use their cars as their home base this ski season. Looks like your truck will be your own personal ski lodge this winter. Denver based Titus Adventure Company (TAC) has taken this concept and run with it. Whether you are hitting your favorite ski resort or a backcountry-access parking area, the new TAC Mobile Ski Lodge package will get you there safely and have you dialed for the ultimate mobile basecamp experience.
Solving Travel Problems on Colorado's Front Range
When founder, Travis Titus first started his company, his initial intention was to solve some of the transportation problems we were accustomed to hearing about. You know, like the insane traffic on Colorado's I-70 heading to and from the high country. Full time 4x4 ownership is not always ideal for those living in and around the Denver area. City life is not necessarily conducive to this type of vehicle. Parking in the downtown area of Denver is limited and rising carbon emissions and air pollution along the Front Range is frowned upon. So Titus came up with the idea to develop a fleet of 4x4 rental vehicles that not only helps you get to remote campgrounds and snow-covered ski areas, they also provide all the gear you’ll need for overnight adventures.
Titus Adventure Company Introduces New Winter Package
Fast forward one year, and the pandemic has brought to light new issues related to our upcoming winter season. Titus has once again mobilized to bring some relief. TAC rentals is unveiling a special winter package for skiers and riders heading into the high country. TAC’s approach to convenient, shared vehicle ownership will help offset pressure on ski lodges this winter and provide people with a safe, warm and fully stocked “basecamp” experience. This will ultimately help you maintain your social distance and some amazing winter recreation.

Après Ski Back at Your TAC
By covering every facet of the ski day from travel to après ski, TAC has really thought of it all here. With one of their rentals plus the mobile ski lodge package your ski day just got a little better. Après ski, like all other aspects of your day, will definitely look a bit different this year. All signs point to people heading back to their house/room for their post pow libations. However, it would not be surprising to see more of a tailgate scene this winter and your TAC truck will have you well prepared. Equipped with a camp table, chairs, a stove, cookware a Yeti cooler and some mugs you can throw quite a little tailgate party for you and your friends. Socially distanced, of course.
