If you have ever been to Snowbasin then you were probably as awestruck by their lodges as I was the first time around. Constructed in order to support the 2002 Olympics and being a Sun Valley property, they are hands down the nicest that I have ever seen. With chandeliers hanging from ceilings, servers that bus your table no matter where you are and a bathroom that is more elaborate then the ones you see at most weddings, it conveys at feeling of opulence unrivaled at ski resorts. All this grandeur aside though, the people are as down to earth as you can imagine and the après ski scene is as fun as they come. Nestled inside Earl's Lodge is the oh so entertaining, on mountain après ski bar, the Cinnabar.

The Cinnabar is the perfect end to a long (or short) day of schussing down the mountain. It is family friendly and welcoming to people of all ages and the gastro-pub style menu offers up some tasty food and beverage selections including a solid nachos plate and a very delicious Old Fashioned. Only adding to the good times, Snowbasin recently announced their FREE apres ski music lineup is all set to begin this Friday! Bands are set to play weekends and holidays from 3:30-6 and with a wide array of genres there truly is a band for everyone. So pick your favorite or go see them all, you won't be disappointed. And even if you are, they've got a shotski to get you back on the right track.
