Mill House Brewing Company

All About Après Rogue Report Episode 5

Transcript:

Hello guys, this is Rich Stoner with the All About Après Rogue Report. We're over here at the Millhouse Brewing Company in Poughkeepsie, New York. We stumbled upon this place same day as we stumbled upon Blue Collar Brewing a few years back. It was just too cold to ski at Belleayre so we hung out here. It's a pretty fancy place, but their beers are off the chain, and their food is pretty sick, too. Can't wait to get back in here, and try it haven't been here in a couple years and looking forward to it.

Transition

Rich: We’re back! My wife is drinking the Morenita, a brown ale from Mill House Brewing. What do you think?

Marcie: Delicious!

Rich: Why?

Laughter

Marcie: It’s nice and dark...and creamy.

Rich: It is dark, nutty, creamy. I’m drinking the Kold One.

Marcie: It’s filled with chocolate and coffee. (laughing)

Rich: There is definitely hints of chocolate and coffee because I just finished it (Marcie, laughing) and I was thinking the exact same thing.

Marcie: Because that’s what the description says.

Rich: She can read. I’m drinking the Kold One. The Kolsch beer. It’s a German style Kolsch. It’s actually, I think it’s pretty delicious. I really like the way it tastes. It’s light, crispy...perfect for summer months. Cheers!

Rich: Alright, so we also had the poutine here which is really friggin delicious. I really loved it with the brown gravy and the white cheese on it. As far as the pizza goes, we took a chance on the pizza. It actually reminded me a lot of Goodfellas in Staten Island which is a critically acclaimed pizza joint. A place that I used to go to a lot in college so I really dug the pizza as well.

Marcie: Did you like the pizza Charlie?

Rich: Did you like the pizza?

Marcie: What did you like about it?

Marcie: What did you like about the pizza Leighton?

Leighton: I thought it was awesome.

Rich: Why?

Leighton: Because it was so beery!

Blake: (from the background) I thought it was awesome because it was very cheesy and like.

Rich: It did have a nice cheese pull to it and a good crisp crust. I like that. You get that snap in the crust. That’s what you are looking for.

Mill House Brewing Company

So there you have it,  Millhouse Brewing Company. It's one of my favorite places to play when when I'm skiing up in the Catskills. I love it, my wife loves it and, most importantly, my kids love it. It may look a little upscale from the outside, but inside it's nothing but good people, good food and really good beer.  So it's beer o'clock somewhere. I'm gonna go grab another Kold One and cheers to another All About Après Rogue Report. And remember, if you liked what you saw share it with your friends and be sure to subscribe to the youtube channel below. It's all downhill from here.
