Most of you who read my après ski blog know my passion for food and drink. More than just a matter of sustenance, they are the vehicle that drives people to gather and share their stories. Food and drink, therefore, evoke the very essence and are an integral part of après ski.
Deer Valley Ski Resort has long been at the forefront of the culinary ski competition. The Deer Valley restaurants and bars are innovative and offer some of the best-tasting and most creative food I have had in the mountains (you can check out my post on the best Deer Valley restaurants for more information). Ultimately, it is these high standards that have directly translated into a vibrant and fun Deer Valley après-ski scene.
High West Whiskey Garden; Brews and Tunes Highlight Spring Après-ski Ski at Deer Valley
Over the past year, Deer Valley Resort in Utah has added to its long-standing tradition of providing its guests with top-notch après-ski. New this winter season they have added Cast and Cut to the arsenal of amazing Deer Valley restaurants. Their Taste of Luxury series featuring Michelin Star chefs from around the world including Chef Massimo Bottura and more recently Chef Giancarlo Morelli has been very well received.
Both Cast and Cut and the Taste of Luxury are very on brand with Deer Valley Resort and their high-end appeal. However, for those of you looking for a more traditional apres ski experience they have you covered there as well. This spring Deer Valley Resort invites guests to spend après-ski at a variety of beer and spirits-themed gatherings including the return of the High West Whiskey Garden and their Brews and Tunes series.
High West Whiskey Garden Returns
Just in time for St. Patrick's Day weekend, the High West Whiskey Garden returns to Deer Valley. Beginning March 16, visitors should head on over to McHenry Beach, located mid-mountain at Silver Lake Lodge, for four days of festivities.
The festivities kick off at 11 am each day (you can't après all day if you don't start in the morning) and wrap up around 4. During that time High West Distillery will be serving their award-winning whiskey, including featured event cocktails, from the vintage High West Airstream bar.
On-mountain bars don't get much cooler than that.
There will also be fire pit cauldrons to gather around and warm with friends new and old, DJ Five spinning the tunes and, for the non-whiskey drinkers, some tasty suds from Park City's own Offset Bier.
With so much going on you simply cannot miss this ultimate beach party in the event of the mountain.
Deer Valley Resort Brews and Tunes Après-Ski Series
Cold beer, live music and the mountains...they just work well together. This trio is the inspiration behind Deer Valley Resort's Brews and Tunes Après-Ski Series.
Every Friday and Saturday from now until April 8 you should head on over to the Snow Park Lodge at Deer Valley Resort in Utah. There, they will be featuring craft beer from a different local brewery every weekend. Accompanying these fine suds will be live music from DJ Nevermore or Mountain Town Music as well as a variety of après-ski snacks including the famous Deer Valley Chili.
Find out when your favorite local brewery will be pouring beers in the schedule below or just go ahead and attend them all. It will be worth it.
