Vermont Music Act to Headline Killington's Audi FIS World Cup

Last year was the first Audi FIS World Cup on the east coast in 25 years and Killington Resort over delivered. Turning the Superstar Glacier into a winter wonderland they drew a record crowd that earned them return trips from the tour for the next two seasons. However, the race is only a piece of the puzzle that makes this an epic weekend. Killington also threw a party for the ages with OAR rocking the stage, much to the delight of the fans. This year Killington is turning up a local vibe and have announced that the band Dispatch 

will headline a robust music and entertainment lineup to celebrate the return of the Audi FIS World Cup.  

Free Weekend of Alpine Ski Racing and Live Music Open to the Public Nov. 24-26, 2017

“Combining top-notch entertainment with one of the world’s most premier ski racing events makes for an amazing, party-like weekend at Killington for families and fans of all ages,” said Mike Solimano, President and General Manager of Killington Resort.  “We are thrilled Dispatch will headline our full weekend of World Cup Race festivities and hope the public comes out to enjoy the concerts, movie premiers, opening parades, fireworks, our unique dining experiences and autograph signings, in addition to the women’s giant slalom and slalom races.”

Dispatch formed while attending Middlebury college in Vermont and have since become one of the largest independent rock bands in history. Now they are returning to their roots to rock the K-1 Base Area on Saturday November 25 in what will be their only stop in the Green Mountain State on their tour. Building on the succes of last year's concert, Killington Resort will be adding to the fun-filled weekend with a second free concert on Friday, Nov. 24 featuring Troy Ramey, originally from Woodstock, VT, and best known for soaring through season 12 of the hit singing competition “The Voice.

This Après Ski Party Is More Than Just Music

As if the musical acts are not enough, Killington will also host two separate movie premiers throughout the weekend at their Snowshed Base Lodge, including new releases from Teton Gravity Research and Warren Miller Entertainment. as well as featuring over 40 sponsors in their Killington Expo village.
