The One Reason Why You Should Spend This Year's Spring Break at Jackson Hole

The One Reason Why You Should Spend This Year's Spring Break at Jackson Hole

Jackson Hole Adds New Weekend to Its Highly Popular Rendezvous Festival

Jackson Hole's Rendezvous Festival, now in its fifth year, has hosted grammy award winning musical acts like the Zac Brown Band, while catapulting itself to the top of the list of spring festivals that mountain goers must visit each year. Having done an amazing job drawing more and more skiers and riders to the area JH Rendezvous has developed into a can't miss experience. Having reached these Grand Tetoneque heights it is hard to imagine what they could do to make it any better. However, this year, JHMR is giving it the old college try by adding  a second weekend devoted to college students on spring break. “ JH College Rendezvous is an entirely new initiative for Jackson Hole.  It represents an opportunity for the 200,000 plus university students in our region to enjoy their spring break in the setting of the beautiful Tetons, and Jackson Hole” said JHMR Chief Marketing Officer, Adam Sutner. This brilliant idea fits in well with the local vibe that Jackson Hole is known for, as a surplus of students will, most certainly, opt out of traveling further and stay close. “It’s a far shorter drive than Fort Lauderdale,” Sutner noted, somewhat tongue in cheek. Keeping more college students around also has the potential to draw huge crowds to the area that could bolster the regional economy making this additional weekend an added financial bonus.

More Than Musical Acts Rocking the Tram Stage

Adding to the draw of not having to travel for spring break is the pretty sick musical lineup that Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) recently announced for the first annual College Rendezvous.  Over the weekend of March 8th -11th, the stage below the tram will be rocking with the likes of the Yak AttackAyron JonesThe Main Squeeze and Midnight North. However, the tram stage isn't the only place for good times. If you are down to get there a little early, college students can après all week by partaking in a series of good times that include even more free and paid concert opportunities leading up to College Rendezvous.  On Tuesday, March 6th Pigeons Playing Ping Pong take the stage at the Pink Garter, and Wednesday, March 7th there is a free après party with DJ Cut La Whut at Nick Wilson’s Cowboy Café.

College Rendezvous Offers Tremendous Value

In addition to the concerts and fun on-snow events, College Rendezvous is bringing tremendous value to college students by offering full time students a $199 three-day lift ticket valid  any three days during March 8th – March 15th, as well as a special College Golden ticket product with single day window pricing at -40%.
