If you are someone who reads this blog regularly you know that I am a huge fan of getting out there, giving it my all and then sharing the stories of the day with my family and friends. Whether that activity is skiing, biking, hiking or golf they are all made just a little bit better when done with others. The shared experience is what life is all about and is at the heart of Jackson Hole's newest summer event, Bikes, Brews and Baskets.
Work Up a Sweat First With Mountain Biking and Disc Golf
You already know how picturesque Jackson Hole is. If not, just jump on Instagram and look at some pictures. And, not that they need any more help in being awesome, but throw in a day of mountain biking and disc golf accompanied by live music and a beer festival and you have yourself quite a Saturday. That is exactly what will be going down in Teton Village on Saturday, August 24 at Jackson Hole's Bikes, Brews and Baskets event. This family-friendly event whose proceeds benefits Friends of Pathways will kick off in the morning with some laps around JHMR's Bike Park followed by a disc golf tournament. Like I said, you have to earn your après first. Then when the afternoon rolls around around ditch your wheels and discs and head to Teton Village for live music and Jackson Hole's first-ever brewfest.
Brewfest to Feature Some of the Regions Most Popular Breweries
I am still trying to wrap my mind around them never having a brewfest before but better late to the party than never. The brewfest will feature local and regional breweries that are popular in the rocky mountain region and it is quite a lineup. Filling up your cups with sudsy goodness this year are Roadhouse Brewing, Grand Teton Brewing, Lander Brewing, Odell Brewing, Epic Brewing, Lagunitas, Big Sky Brewing, Upslope Brewing, Snake River Brewing, and Uinta Brewing. There will also be food available to purchase by Bovine & Swine and the Tin Can Cantina. All while the band plays live amidst the beautiful mountain backdrop of Jackson Hole. Good beers, good food, live music...sounds like my kind of après party and something that I highly recommend you check out if you are anywhere near the area.
