Ballhooter Festival Offers Free Concerts and More
At the center of it all are the FREE concerts in the village. This year's super jammy lineup includes performances from Dopapod, North Mississippi Allstars, Perpetual Groove, The Wooks, Black Garlic, and the headliner Papadosio, a jazzy, electronic rock ish band that's been playing at Colorado's Red Rock for years. These bands are sure to get the crowd pretty amped but it you're there with your family, there is plenty of other events and activities to check out. A brewfest, yoga, painting classes, relay races and, of course, skiing and riding makes Ballhooter full of family fun. Not surprising since Snowshoes is one of the most family friendly resorts in the country.

What Exactly is a Ballhooter?
And what exactly is a Ballhooter you might ask? With roots in Appalachia, ballhooter is an old logging term for a logger who rolls logs down hills too steep for teams. Sorry, to nix any filthy ideas you all had. Like I said, Snowshoes is as family friendly as they come. Enjoy!
