The Perfect Après-Ski Beer from Melvin Brewing
Melvin Brewing is no stranger to the Jackson Hole beer scene. They have been around for quite some time and were purchased less than a year ago by the Pure Madness group which includes Jackson Hole's Roadhouse Brewing Company. Over the years, Melvin has established an excellent reputation thanks to their signature IPA styles. However, their new release, Jackson Hole Lager, is a stark yet welcome contrast to what Melvin is characteristically known for.
"This beer just completely melts off your palate, a true refresher that’s not going to weigh anyone down during aprés, says Pure Madness Brewmaster Max Shafer. It was one of our more challenging brews to accomplish - without any hops or fruit, it had to be very technically sound. We are proud of the results and so excited for it to make its way on-mountain.”

The blend of malted barley and delicate hops provides a delightful and rejuvenating counterbalance to the exhilarating slopes of skiing at Jackson Hole. Jackson Hole Lager Debuted Opening Weekend
Jackson Hole Lager made its triumphant debut during JHMR's opening weekend on November 24th. Skiers and snowboarders were able to enjoy this refreshing craft beer on draft at various locations across the resort. From Rendezvous Mountain Kitchen to Piste Mountain Bistro it was ready to tantalize your taste bud. Cans of Jackson Hole Lager are now also widely available throughout Jackson Hole and beyond, including at any airport offering direct flights into the region.
A Tribute to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort
Melvin Brewing's deep connection to Jackson Hole is evident in their passion for crafting this special brew for JHMR. "With our identity planted firmly in Jackson, it’s an honor and a pleasure to brew something special for our friends at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort," says Shafer.
However, the beer isn't the only welcome tribute to Jackson Hole Mountain resort. So too is its can. The beer's can art features a captivating design by Melvin house artist Kelly Halpin, an avid snowboarder herself. Halpin's artwork depicts JHMR's majestic mountain landscape, transitioning from winter's snowy peaks to the vibrant wildflower season. The iconic big red tram, synonymous with the resort, stands as a prominent symbol of Jackson Hole's adventurous spirit.
