Colorado's wine industry is gaining recognition nationwide. The Governor's Cup Collection is just one example of the state's growing reputation. The Grand Valley, situated northwest of Grand Junction, boasts the highest concentration of wineries in Colorado. In fact, it was recently named the No. 3 Best Wine Region for 2023 by USA Today's 10 Best Readers' Choice Awards. This honor provides visitors with an additional incentive to explore the state, beyond its renowned skiing. It solidifies Colorado's position as a must-visit destination for wine enthusiasts.

“Here in Colorado, we are so proud of our growing wine industry, and this competition is an exciting chance to enjoy wines crafted from top Colorado wineries. These 12 wines reflect the innovative and creative work taking place in Colorado’s thriving wine industry, and I congratulate the winners of the Governor’s Cup wine collection, with each wine showcasing local Colorado ingredients,” said Governor Jared Polis.
