To say it has been snowy out West this winter would be the understatement of the century. It seems like week after week for the last two months there has been one snow storm after another. Oh wait...there has been. Weather like this could have some of these western ski resorts skiing and snowboarding for a couple more months but the fact of the matter is is that, despite what the weather says, spring is actually here. Nothing goes better with spring skiing than a good festival. It is to the end of your ski season what après is to your ski day. The ultimate après ski party. So to celebrate what has been an incredible winter and transition to, what is in all reality, spring, Aspen is launching a new music festival, appropriately named The Après.
New Festival Offers an Amazing Après Ski Music Lineup
This new event done in collaboration with the iconic music venue Belly Up Aspen kicks off Friday with three days of live music right on the snow at Buttermilk where the X Games was held. The music lineup looks to be a good one with Umphrey's McGee headlining Friday night and The String Cheese Incident following suit on Saturday and Sunday. Other musical guests include: Moon Taxi, the Main Squeeze, Southern Taxi, Alo and even more. Talk about sending the season out with a bang. Aspen's The Après is going huge in its first year. How could they not with the winter they are having? Après on the mountain runs from noon to 2 Pm each day at each of the four Aspen mountains before the festivities ramp up over at Buttermilk. And, of course, all four mountains will be open for skiing and riding all weekend long.
So don't miss out as Aspen celebrates the on the best part of skiing and riding this weekend aka, The Après.
